Difference Between Photosynthesis (Halophytic) and Holozoic Nutrition Class 10 Life Processes

In this article, we discuss the Difference Between Photosynthesis (Halophytic) and Holozoic Nutrition of Class 10 Science chapter one Life processes with a full detailed explanation.

Difference Between Photosynthesis (Halophytic) and Holozoic Nutrition

Photosynthesis(Halophytic): It is a biochemical process of manufacture of organic food from from carbon dioxide and water with the help of solar energy inside chlorophyll-containing cells. Oxygen is liberated. Simple carbohydrate or sugar is the main product from which other organic substance are formed Excess of glucose is stored as Starch.

Holozoic Nutrition: It is a mode of heterotrophic nutrition which involves intake of solid pieces of food. Since solid food is taken in, holozoic nutrition is also called ingestive nutrition. Holozoic nutrition is found in animals and protozoan protists.

Difference Between Photosynthesis (Halophytic) and Holozoic Nutrition

Holophytic Nutrition Holozoic Nutrition
1 Occurrence: It is found in green plants, some protozoans and bacteria It is found in animals and some protozoan protists
2 Raw Materials: Only inorganic raw materials taken from outside Ready-made food of organic materials is taken from outside
3 Type: It is absorptive type of nutrition It is an ingestive type of nutrition
4 Organic Food: It is self-manufactured Organic Food is got from outside
5 Chlorophyll: It is present for trapping light energy Chlorophyll is absent
6 Sunlight: Sunglight is essential for this type of nutrition Sunlight has no role in this type of nutrition
7 Examples: Grass, Mango, Wheat, Sunflower Examples: Humans, Deer, Lion, Cockroach
